"Once a motor pattern is altered, neuromotor reprogramming can be effective!"

Franck Remillieux He is an osteopath, physiotherapist, and certified Allyane practitioner since January 2018 in Marmagne. He discusses his discovery of the Allyane method and the development of his patient base. He also talks about his interactions with referring physicians.

How long have you been a certified Allyane practitioner?

I have been a practitioner since January 2018, but I have known the Allyane therapy in September 2017. I immediately saw the potential of the method with my patients.

I have training as a physiotherapist and then as an osteopath, a profession I have practiced exclusively since 1998.

This experience allowed me to be in constant contact with my physiotherapist colleagues and to understand the obstacles to rehabilitation that they sometimes encountered.

In some cases, an osteopathy session could help the patient continue their rehabilitation journey, but in others, the limp or other deficiency continued.

When I understood that the altered motor pattern was responsible for these rehabilitation obstacles, but above all that Allyane could act on the central system directly without going through the repetition of the movement, I signed up immediately to make it available to my patients.

How did you inform your patients about your new specialization in the Allyane method? What was their reaction?

I talked about it during my training sessions in Lyon.

How did you find patients? Did you find them among your current patients?

By highlighting motor inhibitions, I made my patients feel the different motor deficits in place and I explained to them biomechanically the consequences on the quality of their movement or their static balance.

My first patients were part of my existing clientele, but then word of mouth took over.

Have you contacted the prescribers around you? If so, which ones and when?

I treat many physiotherapists and osteopaths in my area. So I talked to them about the method during their visits to my practice, offering to take one of their patients with them so they could observe a session and understand how it works.

Some also had motor inhibitions to rehabilitate (who hasn't had a sprain that wasn't rehabilitated or left lasting effects despite good rehabilitation?)

What proportion of your Allyane patients come from prescriptions? From word of mouth?

Most of the time, patients come either through word of mouth or because they are struggling to find a suitable treatment and have come across forums discussing Allyane. They then research the website and find a practitioner near them.

What are the contributions of the Allyane method to your patient care? On which clinical indications do you most often work with the Allyane method?

Allyane has changed my approach to my patients in the sense that, whatever the reason for consultation, I will check if motor inhibitions are in place, given that these could explain why they find themselves in their present state.

I now know that if I don't regulate this, I will either have a less good result, or a result that will not last as long.

How many Allyane sessions do you have per month? In the first few months? After 1 year?

As of this date, between the 1er Between October and November 17, 2020, I saw 30 patients, including 11 two-hour sessions and 19 one-hour sessions, so I treat approximately 20 patients per month. I've noticed this number is increasing as information about my services becomes more widely available on social media.

From February 2018 I saw between 5 and 10 patients per month, after a year between 10 and 15. For your information I am starting to do full days Allyane, I have 17 sessions planned between now and November 30th.

How long are your Allyane sessions? How do you schedule them? How do you bill for them? What is your rate?

The duration of my sessions varies between one and two hours, some follow an osteopathy session so I was able to make a complete assessment of the things to work on during the Allyane session and I have already established the patient file.

However, all the support that falls under the neurological deficits (MS, following stroke) or in cases where I feel that the patient is stressed or has an altered knowledge of their body, I plan a two-hour session in order to have time to carry out a relaxation protocol.

I always want to speak with my prospective Allyane patients on the phone before scheduling an appointment to determine if their case is eligible for the method.

My rates are 75 euros for one hour and 150 for two hours.

I issue receipts in certain cases (following an accident where the other party's insurance covers the claim, for example). I completed my training in January 2018 and by February I had already recouped my investment.

What are your plans with the Allyane method?

Currently I could no longer work without Allyane, I would feel like I wasn't giving my all to my patients.

I am currently working on collaborative projects with therapists addressing the entire occlusion system and dysfunctions of the masticatory apparatus.

Each practitioner adapts the scope of Allyane to their own needs. From the moment a motor pattern is altered, neuromotor reprogramming can be effective!
