Read Jeremy Coint's testimony, Physical trainer for the French Ski and Snowboard teams since 2005 and an Allyane practitioner, he discusses the contribution of the neuromotor reprogramming therapy in its daily management.
Can you tell us about your background?
Former athlete in Artistic Gymnastics and Powerlifting.
I hold a state diploma in Artistic Gymnastics and Weightlifting. I recently obtained a Master's degree in EOPS (Education, Physical and Sports Activities) and plan to begin a PhD very soon. I have been a physical trainer for the French Ski and Snowboard Teams since 2005, and trained in the Allyane method since 2021.
What is the contribution of the Allyane method to your practice?
The Allyane method allows for the adjustment of recruitment to different muscle groups. It also allows for the inclusion of certain muscles or movements that the athlete may not be aware of. This method allows us to overcome motor inhibitions quite easily and has a long-term effect. It's quite impressive to see such rapid progress!
How did you integrate Allyane into your care plan?
When an athlete struggles to activate certain areas of the body, I use the Allyane method to help them become aware of what I expect from them, or rather, to identify the area that's malfunctioning. And surprisingly, when we reintroduce the initially difficult movement, everything goes smoothly!
Would you recommend that your colleagues get training? Why?
Sometimes we exhaust ourselves trying to teach complex movements in physical preparation, but to no avail… We rack our brains trying to activate areas such as the gluteus medius or the posterior tibial muscle, for example, but to no avail… And we continue, and continue…
I am and remain impressed by this tool and strongly advise you to train yourself on it.
Use the Allyane method for several reasons:
- You optimize performance, stacking, alignment, to name just a few examples
- You allow the athlete to "settle down," to focus on themselves and their sensations (which is not so easy at present).
- You are working on a long-term basis, and it frequently happens that the athlete requests further exploration of the subject after the first session.
- Each session can be different and we can work on all areas of the body
