As part of the recent partnership signed between Élan Béarnais and Allyane, movement expert, the osteopath Stéphane Ladoucette, with 20 years of experience, including 9 spent at CERS Capbreton, carried out his first interventions with three players in the group, namely Ronald Moore, Travis Leslie et Thibault Daval-Braquet.

Thomas LlamasThe physiotherapist for the Élan Béarnais club had met Stéphane Ladoucette when they were both working at the CERS. He strongly hoped that the trainer, who now works with numerous professional athletes and clubs, could collaborate with Élan.

“We had always stayed in touch, and when Stéphane started working for Allyane, we discussed it quite a bit. This approach is completely new and could be very interesting for certain pathologies affecting our players. In some cases, there are inhibitions, the brain going into protective mode for various reasons. The idea is really to work on this connection, the way the brain activates the muscle. The low-frequency sounds used allow the brain to enter a ‘learning mode,’ and then neuromotor reprogramming takes place.”

Stéphane was able to work with Thibault Daval-Braquet right after the end of last season, and the implementation of this partnership now allows us to work more in-depth. We saw the immediate effect on the players from the very first session, and they themselves are quite surprised by how it felt.

Ronald Moore's opinion:

“This is the first time I’ve tried this practice in my career. I’d never heard of it before, but I really wanted to try something different. I was quickly convinced by the idea that you can use your brain to change your way of thinking, with a beneficial effect on your body. Sometimes we can have blockages, resist certain things even unconsciously, and changing this can allow for better muscle use and simply put you in good shape. For Travis (Leslie), the method was used after an injury, but for me, it’s purely preventative. My left knee sometimes gives me trouble, so we try to find the source of the problem by using all the surrounding muscles to reduce the pressure on the joint. During the session, you just have to relax, think about the various sensations you feel, and let your imagination run free. Few people are aware of the power of an organ like the brain and the role it can play in health!”
