Can you briefly describe your sporting and professional background?
My name is Lyndsey Thomas, I am 23 years old, and I am currently a fifth-year osteopathy student. I practice kickboxing at a high level. I started martial arts at the age of four, beginning to compete in Chinese boxing (Sanda) at eight. During my teenage years, I broadened my horizons by participating in full-contact, kickboxing, K1, and pankration competitions. In November 2023, I won the world kickboxing championship title, and I am an eleven-time French champion in various combat sports disciplines.
Tell us about the place where you train?
I train with the "Born to Fight" association in Saint-Chamond. This organization, founded in 2019, has a special meaning for me, as boxing is a family affair. My father has been my coach since childhood, and my grandfather designed our gym. This space is optimized with everything we need for high-level training.
A few words about your association?
The association was created in September 2013 by Mr. Sylvain THOMAS and Mrs. Emmanuelle THOMAS. "Born to Fight" is a non-profit association, divided into two main areas of activity: sports, with competitive and recreational classes for all ages, men and women, as well as a health and fitness section; and charitable, with the aim of supporting children with serious illnesses.
How did you find out about the Allyane method?
I discovered the Allyane therapy thanks to Anthony TRAN, osteopath DO, who told me about it and initially offered me the opportunity to observe the progress of a session in his office.
Before that, had you ever heard of the diagnosis of motor inhibition?
Before that, I had never heard of motor inhibition.
A few words about your neuromotor reprogramming session?
It's an incredible sensory and motor experience. Having already used mental visualization in my training, I immediately embraced this method. I noticed changes right after my first consultation with Anthony.
How would you describe the effects of this session on your sensations and motor skills?
After the first consultation, I felt an improvement in my training. Even my coach noticed the difference in the development of my striking techniques, which were performed more effectively.
I would recommend this method to other athletes or my future patients, because I myself wasn't necessarily aware of these motor inhibitions. After my first consultation, I felt a significant improvement in my athletic performance.
