Mathieu Bastareaud shares his experience following his first session with the Allyane method for a rupture of the left quadriceps tendon 3 months ago. He reflects on his discovery of Allyane, the course of the session, and the results obtained.

How did you find out about the Allyane method?

My surgeon recommended it when he saw we were struggling with a few degrees of leg extension. He thought it might help, so I tried it.

What did you think of the method at first?

It's quite surprising, given that I didn't expect to see results so quickly after the first session. I was expecting results after the second.rd or 3rdThe session went well in the end. I was relaxed and therefore receptive; I felt that my body responded well.

Can you tell us about your injury?

I ruptured my left quadriceps tendon three months ago. According to the surgeon's report, it was a damaged tendon. I was experiencing pain myself. Unfortunately, the tendon gave way. I was immobilized for two weeks. I started rehabilitation gradually.

What are your feelings after this Allyane session?

Very positive. We saw that I had a weakness in my vastus medialis; even I didn't really feel it during contractions, I didn't feel any reactivity or movement. The difference in the work we did is like night and day. Most importantly, I'm leaving the session with the tools I need to work on my own and better understand my knee so I can work on it properly again.

What were the results?

Much more strength and resistance in my vastus medialis and in the movements I was able to do while extending my knee. The practitioner seemed pleased, and so was I, given that I was starting to get a little worried. Feeling that muscle again feels good.

Would you recommend the Allyane method?

Yes, absolutely. I think it's good for getting through a mental hurdle. When you have such trauma, you tend to go into protective mode and listen to the wrong parts of your body. It's a rather gentle, painless method, so I'm very happy with it.
