Read the story of Pierre Petit, a promising young basketball player for JAV in the Pro B league, who was treated by Olivier Bonnet, an Allyane practitioner, following a ruptured ankle ligament. He shares his experience of the treatment and the challenges he faced, as well as the role of the Allyane method in his recovery and his return to mobility.

Why did you have to undergo an Allyane neuromotor reprogramming session?

Pierre Petit (PP): In November 2022, I injured my ankle, tearing ligaments and subsequently developing instability. I had surgery in March 2023, but the first operation was unsuccessful, so I had a second operation in September 2023. Following this surgery, I consulted Olivier in October 2023 for a... Allyane's ankle support.

Olivier Bonnet (OB): Yes, we did two post-operative sessions, one in mid-October followed by intensive rehabilitation, and then a second session in mid-November before Pierre left for Capbreton where you stayed for three weeks. During those first two sessions, we really focused on regaining sensation in terms of stability and proprioception in the ankle, and then we met again in April 2024.

PP: I started playing basketball again in January, and by the end of January I was back in games and competition. Around April, I still felt a slight sense of instability, so I thought it would be a good idea to work on it again. Following that, we did two Allyane sessions.

What differences were observed after these last 2 sessions?

PP: These sessions were very successful; after the first session I felt, it's strange to explain, but as if a muscle had grown back in my ankle, I couldn't engage one of the two peroneal muscles at all, and following the first session in April, I managed to contract it again, and it completely changed my support.

OB: You were indeed talking about the difficulty, a certain apprehension when you played, has that disappeared or is it still present?

PP: It has partly disappeared, I still have a slight sense of apprehension, but compared to before there is nothing to see.

OB: Do you consider that you have now returned to your previous level?

PP: Yes, I think I've regained a level that's close to my previous level.

What are your career plans?

Next year I would like to find a club at the national 2 level, that would be my goal, and to launch my career.
