How did you find out about the Allyane method?

Isabelle (patient): I've heard about it since I've been having 3 physiotherapy sessions a week for the past 4 years.

Laure (Allyane & MKDE practitioner): I have been a massage therapist for 10 years and I heard about this method through my partner, Franck Archimbaud, who heard about the Allyane method at a conference.

What was your initial impression of it?

I. This resonated with me deeply, given that I've always been interested in anything related to cellular memory; although I wasn't certain, it seemed to me that Allyane was similar. My condition is neurologicalI had the feeling that there was something that could be done.

L. When my business partner told me about it, our first reaction was to think it was a bit "magical" since it wasn't invasive. So we thought, "Why not?" But we wanted to see some actual sessions. We went to the Lyon Movement Expert Center where we were offered the chance to observe some sessions, and when we saw them, we realized it worked and was immediately effective.

For what conditions were you treated?

I. For a myalgic encephalomyelitis Chronic fatigue syndrome results in colossal exhaustion with every stimulus, whether physical, cognitive, or physiological. A particularly debilitating symptom of this condition is prolonged standing, also known as orthostatic positioning. I wanted to try an Allyane session because this symptom was causing me a lot of problems; in fact, the few times I got up, it was on a stool.

How did you experience this Allyane session?

I. I had a very positive experience in the sense that it wasn't invasive at all, and I felt completely confident.

What were the results for chronic fatigue syndrome? And what impact did they have on your daily life?

I. My therapist can talk about it more, but for me it was just exceptional, it allowed me to regain that autonomy, to be able to stand up again, even if it doesn't last 1 hour but I can go from sitting to standing for small common tasks, and I only had one session for that, I didn't need to do another one, so I can only be very satisfied.

L. When Isabelle first came to the clinic, she was so fatigued that even walking from home to the clinic was very difficult. So, we initially focused on pain relief, but gradually we decided to go a little further. Isabelle wanted to work on her orthostatic posture. This is where, as a physiotherapist, we can sometimes find ourselves limited in terms of resources, and that's where Allyane comes in. It's fantastic because we can delve deeper into certain conditions.

So we had a session, I assessed mainly the lower limbs in relation to this orthostatic position, we therefore started with a muscle assessment which is a rating from 0 to 5 and we were at a strength between 2 and 3 and following a 1.5 hour Allyane session the strength was between 3 and 4. We are not yet at 5 given that this corresponds to no fatigue.

The result was really convincing given that for me at the manual level I really had a resistance which was much greater, and Isabelle, immediately after the session, was able to obtain this orthostatic position to regain everyday gestures.

Would you recommend the Allyane method?

I. Of course, I recommend it for several reasons, the first being that in the worst case it doesn't work, which would be the only side effect, and there is little chance that it won't work, you really have to go into it with confidence.

Next, I recommend the Allyane method for all people who suffer from this condition, but also for all cases of long Covid who have developed chronic fatigue syndrome.

What is the contribution of the Allyane method to your treatment?

L. The Allyane method offers significant benefits in neurology. Naturally, the earlier treatment begins, the better; the earlier Allyane is introduced, the more effective it will be, and this applies to all pathologies. The method truly helps to release blockages and work with mental imagery, a technique proven for years in the fields of physiotherapy and medicine. In neurology, when the main pathway is blocked, whatever the reason, it's necessary to find alternative routes. The human brain is remarkably well-designed, containing thousands of such pathways, and the Allyane method allows us to discover these routes much earlier and more quickly, something we don't always achieve with traditional manual techniques. With these traditional methods, we tend to focus more on the consequences of the pathology. With Allyane, we work on the root causes.

For which conditions is the Allyane method most effective?

L. For patients who have suffered a stroke at the start of treatment, the method is very effective. In neurology, Allyane is effective for all pathologies; a limiting factor is mental fatigue or a lack of understanding. Treatment is patient-dependent.

I. It is necessary to take action early enough; indeed, in my case of chronic fatigue syndrome, it is said that if something is done within the first 5 years, it is very beneficial.

There are several stages in the case of chronic fatigue syndrome:

  • Very severe: it's impossible to do anything at the level of mental imagery.
  • Severe: slightly less significant but still relatively disabling
  • Moderate
  • Moderate-moderate severe: my condition

I fully intend to get better and better and do more sessions with Laure for my muscle reconditioning!
